Are you an early childhood educator working within an early learning program or family day home within the Yukon? This is the post for you!
Many HWC concepts and activities can be adapted and used with young children as a strategy for teaching valuable social skills, such as exploring big feelings.
If you work closely with young children, we encourage you to frequently visit our Resources page. Here you can access adaptations of HWC activities taken directly from the manual that may be helpful to incorporate in your programming. As well, useful handouts that can be used as a communication piece between your early learning program and home. We continue to adapt and modify these activities to make them practical and meaningful in your direct work with children. Check back often for new handouts, resources and inspirations.
If you are looking to make HWC more meaningful within your early learning program or perhaps you would like to participate in HWC programming, contact the Early Learning Program Support at the Child Development Centre. All ELPS staff are trained facilitators and can work with you to develop a plan for HWC that best suits the needs of your program. Remember, ELPS can help!
